Pruning
We are almost finished with the first cut of the Carpinus, Buxus, Taxus and Ilex hedges. With the pruning of perennials, such as Nepeta, Geranium and Alchemilla, we only started yesterday. The pleasing little rain shower from yesterday helps with the renewed expulsion. I’m always amazed how much biomass the perennials can produce.
The first rose flower is slowly coming to an end. On the other hand summer shrubs like Phlox, Veronicastrum, Monarda, Campanula and Kalimeris bloom in the flower beds and the garden shines in blue, purple and white tones.
