Plant portrait: Polemonium caeruleum “ Heaven Scent “ – Jacob’s ladder

The Jacob’s ladder is probably well known to every garden owner. It sows very well in the perennial borders similar to Verbena hastata or Verbena bonariensis. The flowering period is always very short.

Here is a sterile variety “ Heaven Scent “ that has been on the market for some time. I think I remember that it was found by Piet Oudolf’s Future Plants group at the time.

A very beautiful compact perennial that shows beautiful deep lavender flowers in late spring. Fern-like fresh green foliage. And the flower period is from end April till end may.
